The Coromandel has some neat places to get away from it all. We stayed in the Kauarenga valley for a couple of nights and then headed to Stony bay on the far north east of the peninsula. It was rather windy at night but had a swim during the day and water was really warm. From here we headed down to Opoutere beach, just short of Whangamata.. another hidden gem. From there a quick stop at Athenree hot pools/ holiday park and back to Taranaki.

OMG WHAT AWESOME PHOTOGRAPHY! Thanks for sharing such lovely photos, there are sopme super views and some beautiful photos of you and Grant! Awesome awesome awesome! WOw wow wow! What a cool set up you have from the jeep to the tent etc... very clever and you even got evidence of Grant providing dinner by actually catching a fish (easier said than done) I need one of him!
