Baby boy card for my Neice Tracey and her husband Nick Sheehy

Am so thrilled for Tracey and Nick by neice and her hubby, they have just had their first baby and he is a boy called Isaac Charlie and weighed in at 7lb 14oz, so have just made this card specially for them and will send in tomorrow's post.  It is a very simple card I know, but like the clean lines of it, hope you like it too.

Color Dare Challenge #93

Am absolutely loving the Color Dare challenge colors they are using the last two times and just couldn't wait to make a card using them.  This weeks colors were:

                                    Regal Rose
                                    Pink Pirouette
                                    Pacific Point

I have done a bit of embroiding on the card and the wee butterflies are from a Martha Stewart stamp I purchased a while back from Spotlight.  I love the felt flowers from stampin up and the bird is one that my friend from Australia,  Jessica, kindly punched for me and sent over a whole pile of them in different colors and this matched perfectly with the challenge color that was needed.
Hope you like what I have done, it is rather pink, but I think quite pretty.

More photos of the camper (inside view)

These two pictures give a little idea of what the camper is like inside.  The one showing Logan and I at the table sitting reading the paper - as you go into the camper the bed is on your right - up over the trailer, then on your left is where you put your bags on the floor and anything that you need to put.  We will still put the cooker on the back flap that folds down of the jeep.  Hope this gives you an idea, but will take some more specific photos another time soon. Eventually Grant would like to build a kitchen that slides out from the trailer, so he is designing every nite at the moment, but think it will be a project for the winter this year.

Ernie's new mate!!

Here is our new oztrail  camper.  The bed is built into the trailer top, so is great to be off the ground as in a tent - and also can be left all made up and the tent stowed on top of it.  It is really light and nice and easy to tow.  We got it from White Heather in Hawera and are so thrilled with the thought of using it and will be so much more comfortable to camp in down South when we go in mid March thru to mid April.  I think since we are going for so long and the weather may or maynot hold, at least in this we will be so comfortable and contained. We put it up when we got it home and here we are our son Logan and I chilling out in our new coleman chairs that my Mum bought for us for Christmas, so are all set for the big holiday now.....

Mojo Monday 173 and Color challenge

I haven't done a Mojo card challenge for so long I can't remember, but I saw this color challenge on and loved it, (can't exactly remember if it was color dare or color Q,) but loved it, and then looked for a sketch and when I saw Mojos I knew I could use my lovely wee tee cup stamp which I was so kindly given by a very closer friend for my birthday.  Thank you Jacqui, just love it, and think it is so very cute. Can't believe this heat we are getting, the last two days have been exhausting and it is only 25 degrees, imagine the heat in australia, I just couldn't cope I don't think, though guess you would get used to it.

Ernie our prized Jeep with its new canopy....

We are so excited to have Ernie back after John Reumers has done an awesome job of making and fitting our new canopy for our Jeep.  It looks so smart now and only has to have the finishing touches of some art work and a new winch on the front by the number plate.  Also Grant is just right now making a tow bar for towing our new Oz trail camper which we are hoping to pick up tomorrow, so will add another photo to show you our wonderful camping arrangement.....  It is a trailer with a tent all attached which very quickly and easily folds out.... it will make camping so much for enjoyable in so many ways.
Can't believe how good the jeep looks after how bad she was when we took her apart and all the rust and corrosion that we found.  But now, is as good as new... What do you think???

Card for a friend of my Mum's

My dear Mum asked me to make a special card for her, for a very good friend she plays the card game 'Bridge' with, so made this last nite.  It is very simple, but wanted to keep with the card colors and bought this stamp at a craft fair a couple of years ago, so it had its first use.  Was quite hard to get the colors correct without blending into the other one as I did not have markers and had to use stamp pads, so a bit bleary, but Mum was thrilled and am quite pleased with the finished result.  Added the flower brads to make it a bit pretty and feminine.
